Junior Software Engineer (Node.js / React)

The Role

Our product development team is looking for a Junior Engineer who brings creativity, problem-solving skills, and a proactive approach to help us build exceptional web and mobile applications for startups. At OAK’S LAB, we partner with early-stage companies to bring their ideas to life, from concept to scalable digital products.

As a Junior Engineer, you will work closely with a team of experienced engineers, designers, and product managers, gaining hands-on experience in both front-end and back-end development. You’ll have the opportunity to learn from senior mentors, contribute to real-world projects, and grow in an environment that values innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with senior developers to design, develop, and maintain web applications
• Contribute to both front-end (React) and back-end (Node.js) development
• Implement features based on user stories and technical specifications
• Participate in code reviews, team meetings, and project planning sessions
• Actively learn and explore new technologies and frameworks
• Solve problems analytically and work proactively on challenges

Skills & Requirements

• Proficient in English
• Experience with JavaScript - Knowledge of React for front-end or Node.js for back-end, gained through projects, internships, or academic experience
• Basic knowledge of TypeScript and CSS
• Ability to understand and propose solutions for simple algorithmic problems
• A curious mindset with a strong desire to learn new technologies 
• Analytical and problem-solving skills, able to break down challenges and approach them proactively
• Desire to work in the office at least 3 days per week
